Christmas Around the World and Extended Holiday Hours:

• The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is bringing back its annual holiday exhibit, “Christmas Around the World,” from November 28, 2008 through January 4, 2009. “Christmas Around the World” features beautifully decorated trees representing the countries which President Reagan visited while in office. With toy soldiers, trains and Christmas music, our exhibit will delight children and adults of all ages. This will mark the 15th year the Reagan Library has offered this enchanting exhibit. In addition to 30 trees, a 17 foot tall tree and a White House tree will be displayed. Also on display, a Menorah exhibit consisting of many Menorahs given to President Reagan while in the White House.

For the first time ever, letters, gifts and artifacts from President Reagan's collection will also be on display! View a Christmas card to President Reagan from Pope John Paul II, Christmas letters from President Reagan to Nancy Reagan and the President's White House scrapbooks!

The Library will open the following extended holiday hours:

November 28 & 29: 9:00am to 6:00pm

November 30th: 9:30am to 5:00pm

December 22 & 23: 9:00am to 5:00pm

December 24: 9:00am to 3:00pm

December 26 thru December 31: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Reagan Forum with Andrea Mitchell:

• On Monday, December 8th, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library welcomes Andrea Mitchell for a Reagan Forum.

Andrea Mitchell, one of NBC and MSNBC's most experienced correspondents, hosts an hour of political interviews with top campaign newsmakers each day at 1 p.m. Eastern on MSNBC. She has covered the 2008 campaign since early 2007, including the candidate debates and primaries. Currently, Mitchell serves as NBC's Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, reporting on evolving foreign policy issues in the United States and abroad for all NBC News broadcasts.

As a featured political correspondent in 2004, Mitchell was a regular panelist on MSNBC’s “Hardball” and was the first reporter to break the story that Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry had chosen Sen. John Edwards as his vice presidential runningmate.

Mitchell first covered the White House for NBC News from 1981-1988, during both of Ronald Reagan’s terms as President. Mitchell is married to former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan and resides in Washington,D.C.

Holiday Tea and Tour:

• Join us as we serve an elegant and festive tea, complete with linens, china, fresh flowers and a delectable menu of beautiful sandwiches, pastries, desserts and of course, tea! (Champagne will be available for purchase at the event). Enjoy a detailed tour of our annual “Christmas Around the World” tree exhibit, in addition to a docent-led tour of the entire Library and Air Force One Pavilion. As a special gift and remembrance of this wonderful holiday experience, each guest will receive our exclusive 2008 Reagan Library Christmas ornament and the 2009 Reagan Library calendar. Holiday on the Hill:

• The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is pleased to announce its first annual Holiday on the Hill celebration. Get in the spirit of this magical season while you and your family enjoy our annual “Christmas Around the World” holiday exhibit, featuring beautifully decorated Christmas trees representing the countries which President Reagan visited while in office. Tour the entire Library including the spectacular Air Force One. The evening will be filled with holiday performers, children’s choirs, and a tree lighting ceremony in the Air Force One Pavilion! In addition, our very special guest, Santa Claus, will be enjoying the evening with us. Our professional photographer will be available to capture your child’s magical moment with Santa. Hot cider, warm fresh baked cookies, popcorn and a complimentary gift with each reservation. Complete your evening with dinner under the wings of Air Force One. Our wonderful Holiday Dinner Buffet will be available for your pleasure. Reservations are required at $25.00 per person ($44.95 with dinner). We can accommodate groups up to 100, and you will have designated tables for your invited guests. Dine under the wings of Air Force One, enjoying a very special Holiday Dinner Buffet prepared for your pleasure. A full bar with featured holiday drink specials will be available for purchase at this event.
